Within easy distance of our villas, you will find a number of waterfalls. In most cases, you will need to hike up a ways from the nearest road. The Nosara River passes by on its way down to the ocean. Just on the other side of the Village of Nosara, you can take a short hike to the Nosara Falls. The headwaters are on private property and the owners merely ask that you close the cattle gates and respect the property. The admission is a single US dollar. As you climb up the winding and cascading waterfalls, you will find numerous pools suitable for a short swim to cool down. Other waterfalls can be found in easy driving distance from Nosara. Many other farmers in the area have wonderful waterfalls on their farms you can also visit. Nearer to the active volcanoes, the waterfall waters are hot.
